As the Office Manager and Human Resources Liaison of the USF Graduate School I am responsible for facilitating and overseeing human resources functions and acting as liaison between the unit and central administration for activities such as recruitment and selection, appointments, compensation, classification, employee relations, payroll, attendance and leave, staff development, diversity and EEO. I am responsible for the implementation of USF HR programs, policies and procedures defined by central administration, and ensuring compliance with state and Federal legal requirements. My position also serves as a conduit to various USF offices, such as Human Resources, Payroll, Diversity and Equal Opportunity, ODT, Environmental Health and Safety, and the Provost office to ensure that faculty and staff are recruited, appointed, trained, and paid appropriately and that employee-related issues are resolved satisfactorily.
I came to USF in 2005 with over 14 years of Human Resources and Administrative experience acquired through my background in elementary and higher education. I am currently working towards a dual degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management and was awarded an honorary Bachelor’s Degree in 2004 through a collaborative program between a Hillsborough County Public Charter School, Nova University, and Amstead University for continuing education training programs, credits, and Florida Teaching Certification requirements.
