Campus Visitation
The Campus Visitation Program is an opportunity for prospective graduate students to visit the University of South Florida campus. The program, in accordance with the USF strategic plan, is designed to create a more diverse graduate-level student body by recruiting students from underrepresented populations. Graduating seniors from various institutions, including all Florida colleges and universities, minority-serving institutions, and graduate preparation programs, are invited to apply. The goal of this visitation is to allow prospective students to meet with faculty, administration, and students in their area of academic interest while learning more about graduate school.
The Graduate School will cover lodging and most meals during this event. Also, the Graduate School will waive the application fee for all students who are selected to participate in this program. (Please note, submitting the USF graduate school application does not guarantee admission to the prospective graduate program.) Please check back here in the months to come for information on our Fall, 2009 Semester Campus Visitation Program!
During the visit prospective students will:
- Network with fellow prospective students
- Attend informational sessions with Graduate School representatives
- Receive feedback on their application and statement of purpose
- Learn more about funding opportunities
- Participate in social events
- Tour the USF campus and city of Tampa
If you have any additional questions, please contact us by e-mail Diverse@grad.usf.edu or phone, (813) 974-2846/974-7207. We look forward to welcoming the selected candidates this coming Fall, 2009!
