- Course Description: Understanding rehabilitation for veterans directed toward successful reintegration, long-term health, and holistic care. Application of validated rehabilitation examination and intervention approaches consistent with evidence-based practice.

- Objectives: 1. Incorporate current and emerging evidence in research, clinical practice, and policies related to veterans’ health/reintegration in rehabilitation sciences.
2. Participate in a variety of learning strategies, sharing knowledge with peers and faculty, related to veterans’ health/reintegration in rehabilitation sciences.
- Learning Outcomes: 1. Incorporate evidence-based literature, applying findings to advanced applications for research, clinical practice, and policies for veterans’ health/ reintegration in rehabilitation sciences.
2. Analyze, interpret and apply best research practices in veterans’ health/reintegration in rehabilitation sciences.

- Course Readings, Online Resources, and Other Purchases: Peer reviewed literature on contemporary research and evidence-based practice in veterans’ health/reintegration in the rehabilitation sciences will be emphasized.
- Student Expectations/Requirements and Grading Policy: Students will be expected to complete oral presentations, discussions, and written assignments as determined by the course director. In addition to these requirements that will measure the attainment of learning goals, students are evaluated on: professional behavior (by the course director), participation in group activities and assignments (by classmates), and ability to self-assess one’s own learning and professional growth.
- Assignments, Exams and Tests: Assignments will consist of written examinations, oral presentations and written assignments as determined by the course director.
- Attendance Policy: Course Attendance at First Class Meeting – Policy for Graduate Students: For structured courses, 6000 and above, the College/Campus Dean will set the first-day class attendance requirement. Check with the College for specific information. This policy is not applicable to courses in the following categories: Educational Outreach, Open University (TV), FEEDS Program, Community Experiential Learning (CEL), Cooperative Education Training, and courses that do not have regularly scheduled meeting days/times (such as, directed reading/research or study, individual research, thesis, dissertation, internship, practica, etc.).
