  24. Course Description: Organizations use information systems to support the collection and analysis of information in order to strengthen their competitive positions. This course focuses on the technologies, methods and information used to promote IT-enabled decision making.

The demand of this course will be determined by the demand for the certificate program in Business Analytics. Many universities are offering new programs in Business Analytics because of the demand for such programs, which in turn is driven by the demand in the job market for skills in Business Analytics.

    - Identify common business problems and identify business intelligence solutions

    - Understand the difference between the various business intelligence methods

    - Become familiar with the major kinds of information systems used in managerial decision making

    - Build critical thinking skills by analyzing business scenarios and cases

    - Develop skills making data driven decisions

    - Elaborate the relationship between information technology and business management
