    This course is an individual discussion format & a comprehensive review of the thought process, hypothesis development, research methodology, data collection, data analysis & other parts that may be contained in a thesis.

    This course is part of the MS in Hospitality Mgmt. With the rapidly expanding hospitality business in Florida, nationally and internationally there is a need for expanded education of industry leaders so that they can meet the needs of this rapidly expanding and changing environment. Advanced educational opportunities are critical to the growth of the industry. One U.S. Company is planning on opening 3,000 stores (restaurants) in China alone. This type of growth across the entire industry will require a different and better educated individual. There will be a need for managers that not only can manage one facet of the business but make strategic decisions in planning, acquisition, internet development and training that are not product centered, but demand centered and service centered.

    A. Objectives

    The student will learn to Choose, Develop and Execute the Masters Professional Project. The project leads to the completion of the Masters Degree Hospitality Management

    The student will engage in discussions, presentations, and reactions to faculty comments. Choose and develop a professional project.

    Grade Criteria: A grade of incomplete will be issued until the project is complete at which time thesis hours will be replaced with letter grades

    NOTE Missed appointments with your advisor and late assignments delivered to your advisor will be a reduction in your overall grade

    Missed classes and late assignments will be a 1% reduction in your overall grade for each occurrence.

    The student should meet with the committee chairperson at lease once every two weeks unless an otherwise agreed upon meeting plan has been approved.

    H. Attendance Policy

    Course Attendance at First Class Meeting Policy for Graduate Students: For structured courses, 6000 and above, the College/Campus Dean will set the first-day class attendance requirement.
