Course Change Information (for course changes only): - Due to the heavy course loads that Master's students in CSD take, we have decided that it is better to present this type of content over two semesters in one hour blocks. The first semester covers material relevant to beginning practitioners and the second semester involves issues relevant to practicing clinicians. Course content is required by our national accrediting agency and the students are responsible for this information on a certification exam. - Credit Hours Variable: Y - Credit Hours: 2-1 - New description: Topics include: legal and ethical issues affecting practice, licensure, ASHA certification, the ASHA Code of Ethics, laws and regulations in health care and educational settings, and quality assurance standards.
