  24. Course Description: This course focuses on clinical application of didactic material from the nurse anesthesia curriculum through an advanced level of practice in the role of a nurse anesthetist

    1. Demonstrate competency for all previous courses and clinical content.

    2. Exhibit ability to function independently for all types of surgical procedures.

    3. Manage intra-anesthetic emergencies with little or no assistance.

    4. Portray a professional philosophy and attitude consistent with the professional practice of a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

    5. Be eligible to take the Certification Examination

  30. Learning Outcomes: During this course the student will have the opportunity to:

  31. Major Topics: This course will be conducted in the clinical area and is designed to exposure the novice nurse anesthesia student to nurse anesthesia practice. The specific learning topics will come from the assignment of surgical patients requiring anesthesia care.
