  24. Course Description: This course introduces diagnostic coding and billing for midwives. and women’s health practice. Case studies related to the concepts in NGR 6402Complications in Ambulatory Women's Health and NGR 6455Intrapartum Complications will be examined.

  29. Objectives: 1. Identify correct diagnostic coding for midwifery care.

    2. Identify and apply correct billing codes for midwifery care.

    3. Apply the concepts learned in NGR XXX Complications in Ambulatory Women's Health and NGR XXX Intrapartum Complications to their clinical experiences and selected case studies.

    4. Manage emergency procedures and perform the necessary procedures to resolve fetal distress, shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, newborn resuscitation, and maternal respiratory distress or shock.
