Rod Hale is an advisor/recruiter for the Graduate School. In addition to advising students on choosing a graduate program, the application process, fellowship opportunities, and acting as a resource person he also coordinates the activities of student cohorts such as the Presidential Foundation fellows and Diverse Student Success fellows. He also coordinates the highly successful Graduate Diversity and Access Summer orientation program now in its 20th year at USF. He is entering the 20th year as a Graduate School staff member, and has worked as a newspaper photographer, graphic artist for advertising agencies, a communications specialist for the city of Greensboro North Carolina, and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. Hailing from Chicago and Greensboro, N.C., Rod has earned an Associates and Bachelors degree in Art and Design, a Masters in Leadership and Organization Effectiveness, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. He says that the absolutely best part of his job is working with students and faculty to assist students in achieving their educational goals.
