Question:
What happens if I unexpectedly go out on an unpaid
leave of absence and I’ve signed up for payroll
deductions for my portion?
Answer:
If your paychecks cease for any duration
of time (longer than 2 weeks), you will have the
option of making arrangements to cover your
bi-weekly portion of the contribution to continue
your coverage. If your premium is not paid, it could
jeopardize the continuation of your coverage (and
the University’s continued contribution if your
insurance is cancelled). It will be important to
ensure no lapse in coverage that Human Resources
(Ana Duque at (813) 974-5489) is contacted
immediately so that alternate arrangements can be
made. |
