Allen Heindel is a Ph.D. candidate in the Instructional Technology program at the University of South Florida's College of Education with a cognate in special education. He currently works for the USF Graduate School.
Allen has developed web-based and blended learning programs for Leadership Development for Teachers course, the University of Miami Professional Development and Training Department on "Designing Results-Oriented Professional Development," & the University of South Florida C.O.E. departments of CLAR and Special Education on "Urban Education."
Allen's research interests include the relationship between course delivery methods (face-to-face vs. online) and students' academic achievement, especially within the distance learning environment. Another interest is how outcomes of distance learning courses can be evaluated at various levels of Bloom's taxonomy. Allen is also interested in the use of technology-based applications for the physically handicapped.
